After sold out events in Toronto (10th September) and London (8th July) this year, 1MX is set to delight thousands of music fans in Sydney at The Hordern on Sunday 8th October.

Featuring a tightly curated line-up, 1MXSYD is an opportunity to see established and emerging Australian and Asian musical artists, including Dami Im, William Singe, KZ Tandingan, Ben&Ben, Maymay, Bini, Keenan Te, and Milky Day who will be performing live.

Alongside live music, 1MXSYD will feature an Asian food fair and an exciting array of interactive fashion, cultural, and lifestyle activation sites within The Hordern precinct.

“When many music festivals overreach and overload the senses, 1MX is a compact Asian music festival featuring a tightly curated line-up of established and emerging artists from Asia Pacific excelling in their genres,” said Maribel R. Hernaez, Managing Director, ABS-CBN Global for Asia-Pacific. “1MX presents an authentic Asian artist showcase which is also appropriate for the local cultural scene it is hosted in.”

Since winning the 5th series of The X Factor in 2013, Dami Im has gone on to release chart-topping hits and became Eurovision “Royalty” in 2016 when she earned the highest score ever by an Australian with her smash hit, "The Sound of Silence,” which charted in 38 countries.

“1MX is a fantastic concept and after great success in London and Toronto, I’m excited for 1MXSYD,” said Dami. “A music festival that celebrates Asian-Australian performers and other acts from across South East Asia is a fantastic event to be part of. 1MX is delivering an event unlike another, to an audience not always catered to. There’s a huge demand for a festival of this type that celebrates established and emerging artists from our corner of the globe.”

“This will be our first time visiting Sydney and we can’t wait to perform in front of old and new fans at 1MXSYD,” said Paolo Benjamin Guico, the co-founding member of Ben&Ben with his brother Miguel Benjamin Guico. The talented folk-pop band hailing from the Philippines was the most-streamed artist on Spotify Philippines in 2020.

“We were lucky enough to perform at 1MX London and 1MX Toronto, and can’t wait to contribute to the show in Sydney. 1MX has a variety of acts that will ensure something for everyone.”
